Can from Dasha: brown with small head. Aroma is malty, malty, straw, some possibly edible berries. Low carbonation. Kind of sweet. Sort of a vague Christmas thing going. Not your standard beer, but not that great either.

Many thanks to Theydon_Bois for getting this can for me as my first West Virginia rate. Sadly by the time I managed to meet up with him it was rather out of date. Shared it with Mark in a hidden corner of Vinny & Ted's in Beaconsfield so that the staff wouldn't see we were drinking stuff they didn't sell (to be fair, we'd bought a few beers from them too). It poured a murky red-brown with a decent beige head. A hint of burnt rubber in the aroma. On tasting it's sourish (no doubt age was a factor here) with orange marmalade, raisins, forest floor, caramel and pine coming through. All in all a little muddied and unpleasant. Maybe it's a little unfair to rate it given the clear impact age has had on it - but then Theydon_Bois said it was poor to start off with anyway. Plus I want my WV tick!
