Old bottle, looks good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, golden, small head. Aroma a bit alcoholic. Starts a bit sourish, modest dry, more and more fruity. Finish a bit unbalanced. Dry aftertaste. Not so good!

0.33l bottle. Pours a golden yellow body with a thin off-white head. Nose is sour apples, yeast and some alcohol. Lively carbonated and medium bodied. Slightly sweet with green fruits, hint of banana, white sugar and honey. The combined sweetness and the strong sweet alcohol makes this a bit too sugary and sticky to be great, still Mr.Satan does not make a bad brew considering the temperatures he has to take into account when he is brewing.

2004 Vintage bottle@Kulminator in 2011, tried it before in 2010, taste hasn’t changed much since then: it has a very pronounced caramel taste, slightly bordering on, with hints of liquorish, this is probably a result of the aging, near pure caramel malts, very sweet

bouteille 33cl. Ambre, mousse beige légère; Arôme est étonnamment bien fruité donnant des notes de baies, un peu de malt caramel. En bouche, je note ce côté unique de la pomme grenadier dont je ne raffole pas habituellement de par son acidité mais cette fois ci le tout est bien balancé par cet aspect sucré laissé par le sureau. A noter aussi, malt cara laissant une fine amertume avec un fini ayant une touche de fleurs de houblons.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a big and persistent slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty, slightly soapy and distinctively sour-fruity aroma with notes of citrus, elder- and raspberries, accompanied by a mildly malty background. Slightly sour and sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Soft (cara-)malty base with fruity notes and a soapy and slightly veggie touch; mildly sour and slightly perfumed fruity finish. Not very special. 07.XII.10

Beautiful, reddish beer with big and blond head. Aroma is fruitfull and fresh, apricots, some tropical fruits, lot of fructose and hint of toffee. Flavour is sweet, slightly fruitfull, more bitternesss in the aftertaste that dryes the flavour with nice spicyness. Quite a lot of carbonation, nice and slippery to drink. Very sweet beer, but still great balanced; positive and fruitfull surprise for me.

Huge solid head, bright yellow body with some carbonation. Soft aroma of malts and alcohol, with some hops to make it feel a little bit lighter. Taste is smooth and malty with an alcohol bite at the end. In fact it’s nice for a tripel, good drinking; yet, it does not stand out from a crowd.

330 mL bottle, pours a murky brownish orange with a medium white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, sweet caramel malt, various spices and dough. Flavour of yeast initially, with the sweet caramel following, with a spicy and sweet finish. Quite nice.

Rated July 2006 at L’Autre Oeil in Aylmer, Quebec. Poured a clear caramel-red colour with a decent creamy white head that dissipated fast enough and left small lace, in patchy waves. Aromas of mild raisins, grainy malts and some slight unpleasant ones, like rust, wet socks and vegetables. The mouthfeel was slick and medium-bodied. Mild roasted malts and fruits, with decent bitterness and a dry finish. A different kind of red ale and well-made like most Belgian beers, but unfortunetaly, not remarkable enough to have again.
