Bottle, 6%. Raspberry aroma. Moldy raspberry flavour. No fruit added according to label. Dark golden colour. Small white head. Watery with unpleasant bitterness.

bottle (2008/10/14). Yeasty, spicey apple aroma. Hazy dark gold color with a loose white head. Medium body with smooth, nearly creamy carbonation. The flavors are yeast, touch of honey, hot spice or pepper, some appleskin. Finish is quite dry and something like old yeast in sparkling wine. It is a very tasty ale.

So this brewery really likes labels that look like they are from the 70s. Was I surprised to see that this is not an old bottle at all. To me it seems like they are going for a "Trappist" appeal. It pours with a strong and foamy head. It sticks to the sides and never really dissipates. The body is clear amber with a light pink hue. Aroma is burnt malts, light rotting fruit, and faint champagne sweetness. Taste is light rotting fruit sweetness with a stale white bread finish. A lightly bubbly feel. Bottom line: looks nice but everything else is unimpressive.
11.2oz bottle, best before 2008/01/08.

Bottled. Nice pale amber colour with huge fluffy white head. Leaves good lace. Aroma is a lot of red berries, especially red currant. Some raspberries also. Flavour is berries, fruits, some earth and sourness. Quite dull and mouldy aftertaste. I’m not a big fan of this one.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a dense tan/orange-ish head. Solid yeasty spiced aroma, mild fruity note. Quite carbonated, but average for a Belgian beer. Flavour is slight breadish, solid yeast note, sharp spicy and followed by a mild caramel malt smoothness. Lingers smoothly into the finish, but the aroma and the initial flavour hits you straight away. Clear alcohol presence in the finish.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, huge and rocky off-white head, lasts "forever". Nice fruity and spicy aroma. Spicy flavour too, notes of oak, some caramel and fruit. Good stuff. By Satan, I think I’ll have another one!

Aromas of citrus and yeast. Hazy amber color with a white head. Medium body with mild, creamy carbonation. Flavor is citrus rind, roasted caramel and mild spices. The finish is rather dry, and has some dried stone fruit notes. Particulary cherry. Not bitter, but more woody, like fruit pits.

bottle - Pours hazy gold with a one finger head and a light citrus and yeast aroma. It tastes sweet with a little bit of citrus and has a very lively palate. It’s medium bodied and finishes with some alcohol in there. It’s ok, but I was hoping for more in a tripel.
