Barrel aged and blended is our passion, specifically Belgian inspired American Saisons, Lambics and Gueuze. Wink, our founder and head brewer has been an avid yeast wrangler and homebrewer of farmhouse style ales for over ten years. Idaho Farmhouse Ales was founded by accident really. As an avid homebrewer with many barrels to fill, Wink wanted to make sure it was legal. So like a dumb@$$, he called a laywer instead of just doing it and asking for forgiveness. After thousands of dollares in laywers fees, licensing, permits, etc. we might as well open a brewery. So here we are! We dont own brewing equipment big enough to fill all our barrels YET. At the moment we contract wort production and ferment the wort at our barrel facility using our house cultured yeast pulled from the Idaho air.
