Much like a standard porter. Draught, poured dark brown with medium head. Moderate lacing. Aroma is roast malt, with a little bit of pumpkin. Flavour was rather like a porter, roast malt, some bittesweet coffee, Malty finish with chocolate. Not much pumpkin, but a pleasing porter.

on tap at Brewforia. Very dark brown with a rich creamy mocha head. Roasted smokey aromas and bittersweet chocolate and charcoal flavors. Surprisingly and somewhat disappointingly lacking in pumpkin flavors. Quite bitter and astringent like a big porter can be and soft fine carbonation. Night and day difference as opposed to the pumpkin pie types out there. Very good as an Imperial Porter, just OK as a Pumpkin ale.

On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente’s Hoptoberfest. Listed at 10%. Pours with a hazed deep amber brown body with a tan head. Aroma is nutty, brown sugar, molasses, maple and fruit. Flavors are bitter, brown sugar, maple and floral hops. Medium dry. A very confused beer.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, burnt flavours and cofffee. Flavour begins with roasted and burnt malts, with coffee notes hitting later on. Slightly bitter hop and roasted malt on the finish. Wonderful.

22 oz. bottle, pours murky orange brown. Aroma of herbal notes / marijuana, caramel malt, and hops. Flavour begins with a full herbal body, with a full bitter hop blast at the end. Most excellent.

Bottle. Pours with a murky amber orange body with a large bone colored head. Aromas of hops (citrus, floral, and pine), caramel, marmalade, bread and tea. Very malty smelling for a fresh bottle. Flavor is bitter, slightly salty, pine, and nothingness. No real malt backbone, and no hops whatsoever. Lively bubbles and dry. Tea flavors. Nothingness. Really strange for a fresh bottle. Confused beer.

Bottle sampled at Jackie O’s BBDA and Oil of Aphrodite Release and Barrel aged Beer Festival on 9/11/10. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Malty aroma with caramel and hops notes. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, sweet caramel malt and fruit. The finish is hoppy up front and leaves a sweet caramel aftertaste. Decent Barley Wine overall.

Draught at Elk Public House, Spokane, WA. Hazy deep golden, minimal head. Concentrated lemon/lychee aroma. Mid sweet with solid, clean, rounded body. Hop driven where lemon hides the alcohol exceptionally well. Citric finish where the bitterness just keep growing. Flavourful without being edgy. Good job!
