getrunken 2012, aber offenbar immer noch im Handel. Damals fiel sofort der namensgebende Zitronen-Ton auf, der aber nicht übertrieben wirkte, sondern schön ausgewogen. Dadurch wird es schön erfrischend und macht es zu einer Gaumenparty. EIn fein aromatisches Bier, das auch den geeichten Bierkenner erfreut.

Slightly hazy amber color, small steady white head. Orange jam, pine and horse saddle in the nose. Medium to full bodied. Sticky, resiny hoppy and very sweet but perhaps not so sweet than Chinook and Citra I had. Some alcohol. Overall more on malty than hoppy side for DIPA. But not too bad, I enjoyed although it is quite different than good Citra version.

Bottled 330ml (BZ, alc. 10.0 %, batch #01/2012)
Slightly hazy amber color, small steady white head. Grass, cat piss and grapefruit in the nose. Medium to full bodied. Quite sweet, tropical fruity-honeyish flavor then citrusy Citra flavors. Lingering bitterness. Sweetness covers alcohol well. Although a bit sticky, quite delicious.

Bottled 330ml (BZ, BB 11/2012)
Clear yellow color, good white head. Light fruity lychee and elderflower aroma, some leady notes. Light bodied. Pear fruityness, light bitterness in the finish. Suprisingly sweet beer with some citrus notes.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de, 10 % ABV). Hazy orange colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, toffeeish, floral, grassy and some mild fudge sweetness. Flavour is sweet caramel malts, some toffee, fudge and very bigtime hoppyness. Also some slight glueish notes due to the ABV. Warming.

Bottle from Bierzwerg. Light hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and rather hoppy - peach. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 050912

330ml bottle [10% abv as per label]. Cloudy orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, lacing white head. Grassy hop aroma with notes of coniferes, pine, grapefruit, pineapple. Taste is initially sweet caramel malty with a touch of honey, minimally soapy overtones, changing to minimally biting bitter hoppy. Smooth, sticky palate, soft carbonation. Slightly unbalanced, too sweet.

Bottle says dual hop craft beer. Deep ruby color, steady midsized beige head. Hoppy, strawberry marmalade aroma with hints of bubblegum. Full-bodied. Very sweet, strawberry jam with some alcohol and hoppy notes. Some exotic notes and pine. Could be lighter. Not really a black IPA but double IPA.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Yellowish golden colour with mediumsized white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is is fruity, earthy, floral and some mild caramelly notes. Flavour is floral, grassy, earthy with mild fruitynotes and some sweet malts. Rather pleasant bitterness from the hops. Mellow and very resfreshing.
