Description
In October 2015, local entrepreneur and business owner Stephen Wesley purchased the Wisewood Inn with the vision to create a great pub that served the local community, great beer and fantastic food.
With the pub fully established in 2017, he turned the burning idea of brewing beer onsite into a reality, rebuilding the old garage space underneath the pub with a fully equipped, modern brewery capable of brewing traditional cask beers and bottle conditioned ales. We’ll also be expanding to produce clean crisp lagers, and contemporary craft beers in due course.
With an onsite bottling plant and two pubs under our belt, our beers have grown into firm favourites with people in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.
Our beers are available in bottles through our online shop and are available to try on draught from both of our pubs – the Wisewood Inn and the Raven Inn – as well as other local free houses in the local area.

Cask at Botley Hill farmhouse. The aroma is soft grain, has modest gold body and a bit of foam. Flavour is soft grain, medium lemon notes. Mouthfeel is dry. It's okay, a little boring.

500ml bottle, not sure of Origin - Clear yellow, no head. Straw nose, citrus backing. Bitter up front, bit of grassiness, thin mouthful. Good effort, but average for what's out there.
