Surprisingly not bad.

Very bright, crazy purple and indigo coloured body with a thinnish, fast-dying pure white head that fades before you can finish pouring the can in the glass. Aroma of bright apples with a decidedly crisp smell along with some pear and subdued spice notes, but the grapes only come out in a sort of artificial way, like a Niagara or Scuppernong grape, nothing from a Vinifera grape. Light-bodied; Very crisp artificial grape flavour, like a grape candy with some crisp apples and pear notes and not much of anything else, with a light dose spices noticeable at the end. Aftertaste shows some apples of course and a light dose of yeast and breadiness as well, but the soft grape sweetness from the artificially notes shows strongest somehow, with a dash of hay towards the end. Overall, a nice enough cider with some fake grape notes, but a crisp apple and light spicy side that covers the complexity factor nice enough, especially for the style. Nice to sample and not a bad option for those who prefer ciders, but there are plenty of better others out there, you'd just have to search. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from MOM's Organic Market in Fairfax (Merrifield), Virginia on 16-December-2022 for US$3,99 sampled on the streets of New York, New York on 14-January-2023 with my wife and kids.

12 ounce can from Total Wine Gainesville, VA, 7/19/22. New cidery! Virginia cidery #19. Brewery #2069. USA #1671. Hazy pale yellow, not much head. Aroma of dry apple, hint of funk. Taste is sweet and dry apple, pear, honey, tea. Still. A bit thin. Tasty.

$3.79 can, TWF. Pale gold with a light haze and a dusting of a head that disappears before the liquid stops swirling in the glass. Nose is apple, dust, green leaf. Dry apple, mineral water, very faint herbal notes.

Lots of citrus on this for a cider. Some apple. Hazy yellow pour with ok head. Quite citrusy. Tap at Caboose.

Fairly hazy ruby and orange coloured body with a copper glow and a thinnish, off-white head that fades immediately and leaves nothing up top after a few seconds. Aroma of sour grapes, light apples, a dash of yeast and bread and a touch of lemons without much else and no spices or anything of that nature - pure and simple the fruits with the yeast and crisp throughout. Light-bodied; Very crisp, super grassy and herbal notes up front with a lot of dry, granny smith apple flavours and a dash of limes and lemons, but the grapes come through as well in a slightly less pronounced way than I was expecting, but mild and subdued throughout with the apples the same. Aftertaste shows the soft fruits, a very subdued amount of lemons and tartness with even less of the sweetness without anything else and again - no spices or complexity here. Overall, a pretty mild and relatively weak/poor cider that doesn't show much aside from the dryness and a sliver of the grapes, but there is almost more citrus fruit sourness coming from this than the grapes. Nice enough to try, but not worth trying to find and not a great option, considering the style when there is at least some out there with complexities. Fairly cloudy and hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, and of course, fast-dying off-white and tan head that leaves nothing up top or on the sides after a few seconds. Aroma of strong ginger, ginger ale, caster sugar, light grass, a ton of apples and a good yeastie and bready finish that shows a lot of character, especially from the spice perspective with some allspice and coriander seed and a good hit of fennel as well. Light-bodied; Strong ginger and fennel notes with some star anise as well and canella with a bit of caster sugar and caramelised sugar notes and a touch of flowers near the end with a bit of aspartame and fake sugar elements near the end. Aftertaste shows the grassy, herbal, grainy and slightly piney flavour with some slight resinous notes but a ton of bubbles towards the end with a crisp and clean finish. Overall, a nice and flavourful, yet easy-going, crisp and slightly sweet finish hits nice notes throughout with the ginger, apples and canella that goes down easily, perhaps much easier than any 6,9 per center out there.
