Bottle from Vine & Grain. Appearance - golden amber and hazy. Off-white head. Nose - pine and grapefruit. Just an edge of breadiness. Smells like an IPA from 10 years ago. A bit more West Coast. Bottle ordered from Vittles & Company, 'Ull. Aroma has dark chocolate but also coffee and liqourice. A hint of dark berries. Glossy and inky. Foamy beige head soon recedes. Initial sour hit, which then smooths out. Medium bitterness then appears. Dark berries and equally dark chocolate/bitter cacao. Underlying coffee and malts. Roastiness in the finish. Light bodied. Watery. Fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Despite being thin this is a ballsy Porter.

7.4/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 6 Flavor 8 Texture 8 Overall 7.5
Bottle ordered from Vittles and Company, Hull. Aroma has rich dark chocolate alongside the promised coffee, and berries. Some roast and vanilla. Opaque cola brown. Thick foamy tan head. Medium bitter chocolate-coffee which quickly develops a sour berry streak. Underlying sweet molasses becomes prominent into the finish, as does do the malts. However that sour edged bitterness remains throughout. Medium-heavy bodied. Creamy and slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Good stuff even if it's not one I'd want to Session being so rich.

Bottle ordered from Vittles & Company, Hull. The bottle states 5.4%..Aroma has sweet edged dark berries and nuts over dark chocolate. Opaque dark brown with a ruby tint. Creamy beige head soon fades away. Medium sour with a bitter edge. Underlying sweetness. Sharp berries, liqourice and chocolate. Nutty finish. Although it's the sourness that is the primary feature complimented by the chocolate. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. I like this. Rich, malty and pleasantly sour.
