Draft at brewpub. Number one with a bullet. Jet black pour. Small tan head. Subtle roasted malt aroma. Flavor is roasted malt, bitter hops. Not much character or depth. Dry and lifeless. Disappointing.

Draft at Descendants Brewpub in Milford. Number one with a bullet. Dark amber pour. No head. Tangy, caramel malt flavor seems a bit off. Seems like a sour. Little hop presence. I’ve had Welsh Red ales from Felinfoyle before and this pales in comparison. Disappointing.

Draft at Descendants brewpub in Milford, NJ. Number one with a bullet. Chestnut brown pour. Scant white ring. Sweet, malty aroma hints at dark, dried fruits. Flavor is sweet and malty. Baked apples, figs, currants and candied pecans. Rich and malty. Not very complex. Lightly carbonated. Interesting.
