Tap at source, very dark brown. Odd mild bacon nose. Slight o2 on the uptake. A bit mild in teh smoked flavor compared to other the domestic heavily smoked brews that are totally in yer smokey face. Just a hint of bitter bite. I'm not a fan of smoked brews but I find this rather acceptable. Its right up there with Hitchhiker The Drifter Gratzer, Church Brew Rauchbier, Beaver Smokey the Beaver, East End Lavery Rojo Ahumado, Iron Hill Rauch Weizen and Earnest Oscar The Rauchbier. On tap at the source. Clear pale with a slight brown tint. Nose is nothing but big black fresh coffee. Taste has no beer here, its just coffee in yer face. Strong coffee. Think about a big black cup of black coffee but its deceptively clear pake, how weird. Yes, flat and big coffee fer sher. But I don't think I'm gettin the alky yet, its deceptively lacking alky at this point in the middle. 9.2% I don't think so but wait, things are getting a little warmer towards the end. Most of the highr alky coffee brews I've tasted have been like black coffee with a shot of whisky in them, but not this one, it hides the alky content to the end and then you get a little surprise. Finishes with a slight warming sensation and a little funky brain fog.

On tap at the source. Clear darker pale, a slight dark tint. Thin white head. Light candy sweet mild nose. Mostly flat on the uptake, needs more co2. Slight slag on medium bitter flavor. Bitter astringent bite build to the middle. OK, I think this is a little more phenolic than yer typical domestic keller. OK, but needs some manners.

On tap at the source. Nice clean crisp dark beer roasty nose. First taste is rather slaggy but not offensive, just unique for this style. Then, after a few slugs, the dark roasty wood feel comes thru. Very smooth and well behaved on the uptake. Fine co2 in there. I'm liking this. Not bad, has a friendly dark lager attitude without any bitter bite. Finishes like a mild stout.
