16 ounce can from brewery. Number one with a bullet. Hazy orange gold pour. Large, dense frothy beige head. Mild, perfumy malt aroma. Bittersweet, boozy and dank describe this one. Quite intense. Some stone fruit flavors initially, the dank bitter hops soon after. Lacking any real complexity or depth. A bit of a disappointment.

16 ounce can from brewery. Tawny amber brown color. Large firm, frothy beige head. Earthy toasted malt aroma hints at brewed Orange pekoe tea, plums and dried apricots. Tangy, sweet orange notes upfront. Toffeeish malt and Demerara sugar come to mind. Some booziness in middle. A bit of stickiness on the palate. Dry finish has a touch of bitter citrus. I love the Biere de Garde style, though it is quite difficult to find. This is an outstanding example.

16 oz can from the brewery, 4/19/21. Pours a clear burnt amber color with a beige head. Nice malt-forward offering with toffee, biscuit, dough, and a little earth coming through. Drinks fairly clean, not overly sweet, just a touch sticky, and with the heat of a lower ABV beer. Tasty stuff.

16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Bright orange copper color. Brief beige head. Toasted malt aroma has nutty notes. Flavor is bittersweet with a touch of oak and vanilla. Big warming notes of alcohol. Sweet and sticky mouthfeel. Lacks the peaty, smokiness usually associated with the style. Still, a unique interpretation that would benefit with some aging.
