500ml bottle from Aldi. Pours hazy red-brown, thick off-white head. Aromas are woody, pine, light yeasty spice, light toffee. Taste is woody too, more yeast, more spice. Big sweet kick at the end. Quite a mouthful. Good body.

Hazy, burnt-orange beer with a thick frothy head. Smells of tropical fruit and there’s a bit of a musty pine scent in there too. Flavour has a bit of the tropical fruit in there too. A touch of resinous pine as well, but there’s not much strength to it. In the mouth it feels a touch watery and the aftertaste is only slight and a touch sour. It’s not bad but it feels a bit of a waste. A good combination of flavours, it just needs a bit of backbone.

Keg at The Southern. Hazy golden body with a medium off-white head. Very low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of freshly opened bag of hops, melon and peach. Flavour of apricot, passionfruit with a woody finish. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Very tasty - a great example of the hop.

Bottle from The Beerhive marked 8.9% ABV. Murky brown body with a thin beige head. Light lacing. Aroma of toffee, red apple, honey and blood orange. Flavour of Crunchie, mango and caramel. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Nice fizz. A cracking DIPA - big, hoppy flavours and high bitterness.

Hazy yellow beer with a white head. Dry, bitter grapefruit aroma and the taste follows suit. It’s quite crisp but the sweetness does cloy a touch in the aftertaste. Very drinkable though and it’d be perfect out in the sunshine.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - close to opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - prunes, Port, light chocolate. Taste - more fortified fruits. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long sweet tangy finish. Overall - lot of flavour considering the low ABV.

500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb, from Beer Hive I think. Pours dark brown, thick beige head. Aromas of light coffee, prunes, ashy. Taste is roasted bitter, dark fruits. Chewy, bitter, earthy finish. Packed a lot of flavour in a 4.3%er.
