Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body under a small, off-white head. The aroma is rather weird, it’s fruity, but with something coffee-ish and almost roasted. Not much apple noted. Or is it diacetyl? It’s medium bodied and semi-sweet on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation. Apples, pale malts, a generic fruityness and some pine cones and bitterness in the flavor. Medium length finish. Unusual and interesting more than pleasant and really good. But it drinks easily though. 140829

Thanks to Craig for passing this beer onto me. Had this in bottle at home Sunday 17th August 2014 Pours gold with a thin white head. Certainly appley, sweet apples in particular, it sort of tastes like a beer/cider combination thats been aimed at kids the appleyness as mentioned is too sweet, the beery side is more lagery with a mineral flinty edge and lagery bitterness, suffice to say great label aside I’m not a fan. Keg at Drygate. It pours clear golden-amber with a tiny white head. The nose is sweet apple, candy, tinned fruit and apple tango. The taste is sweet apple, apple juice from concentrate, candy, artificial feel, dried pear, grainy, light spice and white sugar with a short finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Doesn’t work for me at all too sweet and one-dimensional.
