Description
Drygate is the UK’s first experiential craft brewery. Opened in June 2014, Drygate is a brand new brewery nestled in the historic east end of Glasgow, close to Tennents Brewery and Glasgow Cathedral. Brewing has been taking place continuously in this area since the 16th century.

Sharp, tart and a little fruity - pours a hazy pale gold, with a big frothy white head and a tart rhubarb aroma. Not overly sour, nor massively fruity, just a decent sipper with a slight puckering quality about it, and a hint of yoghurt creaminess in the mouthfeel

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of light tropical fruit, faint floral notes, which I guess is the heather. Taste is more of the same. Didn't enjoy this as much as version 1. Thin finish.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of malt bag and oranges. Creamy texture, light spice on the taste with more orange. Light bitter finish.

Bottle from Beer Zoo. Clear ruby body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cherry, earth and Dr Pepper. Flavour of toffee, prunes and plum. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. It’s been a long time since I last tried a Drygate beer. This is very good - it’s full of warming aromas and flavours and hides the ABV well.

Slightly hazy reddish-brown beer, thick white head. Smells mulled drinks a little, with spices and some zesty fruit. Flavour has a pretty tangy citrus hit up front, spices again, malt, some hoppiness, malts and little caramel cutting through it. Sharp and but warming, this is quite interesting.

33cl can from Morrisons. thick creamy white head. very hazy light amber pour. Lovely bitterness.

Black with a thick beige head. Nutty, chocolatey aroma. Flavour has chocolate, coffee, praline, malt. It's smooth, rich, sweet without being sickly and just a little booziness to it. The right amount. This is lovely.
