Tap at the brewery. Creamy, reminiscent of malt liquor in some respects. Amber malts, not exactly expert lagering. Full bodied at 6.4%. Not so impressive, old school.

On tap at Big Head. At 8.2 perhaps the strongest of the Maibocks I've had this year. Surpringly quite enjoyable, they did a good job with this one. Filtered copper orange body, thin head/full pour. Big, bready, old school Bock. Full bodied, solid lager tone. Good.

Muddy amber, thin creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of green apple, caramel, diacetyl. The taste is strong diacetyl, caramel, strong tart green apple. Thin. Seems like a bad beer that they tried to "fix."
