A ideia de uma cervejaria surgiu de um jovem apaixonado pela arte cervejeira. Descontente com a inexistência de produção de cervejas especias em Cabo Verde, decidiu criar a primeira cervejaria artesanal do País. A cervejaria Afreecana utiliza nas suas receitas frutas e especiarias nativas de Cabo Verde nas suas cervejas com o intuito de promover o País, porém também conta com uma linha de produção em que respeita a lei da pureza alemã

Bottle, 330 ml, shared at the charity tasting. Murky orange with white head. Bit weird aroma, yeasty, bit spicy, rubber. Sweetish.

0,33l bottle brought by a friend, enjoyed @ Vaihia. Pours murky dark brown with a low head. Aroma is dry roasted malts with some coffee. Flavor is dry funky roasted malts with coffee and some hops. Not great.

0,33l bottle brought by a friend from Cape Verde, shared @ Vaihia. Pours murky brown with a low head. Aroma is weak fruity malts. Flavor is bitter malts with a hoppy finish. Not very fresh. Or good.

33cl bottle. Poured hazy and orange in color. Murky looks. Rubber, sugary, maize. Quite the horror unfortunately.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, thanks Hermod, at VastActiv, 20240112) The beer poured pale brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness, burnt rubber and vegetables. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spiciness, burnt rubber, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. Unpleasant.

1/9/2023. Bottle shared by MarkoNm, cheers! Pours slightly hazy dark red with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is wheaty, leafy, floral, malt, raspberry, cranberry, light herb. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a sour edge. Moderate body, average carbonation. It’s okay.

Bottle, Bodeguinha, Sal. Clear amber coppery, medium white head, not lasting. Mild nose, slightly herbal, slight cellar, slight fruit. Mild bitterness, some herbs and slightly tart, hints of sweetness. Tart aftertatse. Light.
