Delicious session here. Smooth taste. Refreshing, and a perfect fit for the Seattle sun today. A 9 mile walk down the Burke Gilman only adds to the refreshment. Enjoyed on tap at the brewery for hopefully not the last time. Very good.

Draft pour pint enjoyed at Burke Gilman Brewing. A dark copper color, deeper of a shade for your usual pale. Patchy fizz head. Aroma is light, sweet grain, juicy hops. A pretty rad showcase of huell melon hops here. A juicy pale, but it has a bold bitterness to it as well. Melon and the slightest berry tone. Clearly a fruity hop. A touch dry and musty paste. Unique pale. Enjoyable for sure.

On tap at Burke-Gilman, pours an opaque bright dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of sweet oranges, citrus hops, resins, and caramel malt. Flavour is very sweet, with resinous hops and intensely sweet caramel malt. Way too sweet, and lacking the hop power to balance. No good.

On tap at Burke-Gilman, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of spicy pumpkin with a medium toasted malt base. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of pumpkins upfront, with medium roast and a touch of earthiness. Lots of pumpkin on the finish. Good stuff.

On tap at Burke-Gilman, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out saison yeast, with earthy notes and light biscuity malt. Flavour is quite earthy, with lots of fruity esters, chaotic fusel alcohol notes, and biscuity malt. Bitter, boozy and estery notes. Not good.

On tap at Burke-Gilman, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, light herbal notes, and some vegetal notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops, biscuity malt. It's okay, but nothing invigorating.

4.4/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 4 Flavor 4 Texture 4 Overall 4.5
On tap at Burke-Gilman, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out estery notes, saison yeast, and some candied sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with estery notes, light celery and biscuity malt. Lacking any authentic saison character; chaotic, estery and floral. Not good at all - typical trainwreck of a North American saison.
