Pours clear amber with minimal head. Not much aroma. Flavour has underripe cherry and grass. Poor fruit expression and not much else.

Pours clear amber with minimal white head. Aroma has bready malts. Flavour has nice crusty malts and (what I'm told are) English hops. Very solid.

Pours clear amber with white head. Aroma has damp malts. Flavour has chewy malts, maybe a bit of straw. Not much of anything.

On tap at Train Wreck, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some diacetyl that ruins this whole thing, fuck off. Flavour is full of butter — this is nothing but a diacetyl bomb. Egregiously undrinkable.
mcberko (47456) reviewed Dark Rye IPA from Train Wreck Brewing 1 year ago
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
On tap at Train Wreck, pours a clear dark amber brown with a medium tan head. Aroma has a nice crunchy earthy hop character, a touch of pine, and dry toasted bready malt. Flavour has some solid bitterness, with earthy hops, a touch of pine, and gentle roast. Good balance between roast and hops, but it's rather timid. If you're going to try a black (okay, brown) IPA, swing for the fences. Tame but decent.
mcberko (47456) reviewed Cloudy IPA from Train Wreck Brewing 1 year ago
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5
On tap at Train Wreck, pours a mostly clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some vegetal bitterness upfront, with gentle citrus and muffled earthiness. Flavour is lacking much hop character; there's some bitterness but also plenty of fruitiness. Not much hop depth or flavour complexity in general. Unexciting, uninspired.
