Bottle at home with big thanks to ShivanDragon. Dark amber, white head. Sweet caramel malts, hint of unfermented wort, orange peellike citrus fruitiness, grassiness of hoppellets, tealeaf dry bitterness. Light sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. Dry and bitter, but only lightly hoppy. Nothing wrong with it, maybe just a bit too tame. Could do with more aromatic hops.

Clear chestnut brown colour, tall frothy beige head, good retention, fair lacing. Shy aroma, toasted malts, brown sugar, caramel, spicy and herbal notes. Thin taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, burnt caramel, light chocolate, herbal notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, liquorice and salty notes; light to medium body, watery texture, average carbonation, average.

33cl bottle from De Smaaktovenaar. Thick creamy beige head. Very hazy dark amber pour. Herbal aftertaste but not too sweet at least. Decent

0.33 l bottle from ’Wijnkoperij Wielinga’, best before November 2018. Slight gusher! Murky, dark brown with a massive, slowly diminishing, frothy, beige head. Sweetish-malty, spicy aroma of caramel, brown sugar, licorice root, some chocolate and hints of raisins. Sweet, malty and quite spicy taste of caramel, brown sugar, some chocolate, licorice root and some raisins, followed by a short, slightly bitter, quite spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Not bad!

schenkt iets wazig donker amber met iets rode gloed en gele kraag. redelijk wat koolzuur aanwezig, waardoor het gistdepot wat omhoog komt. aroma is zoet, mout, enorm veel gagel. smaken zijn moutig, veel mondvullende co2, enorme kruidigheid (gagel) uiteraard, matig tot redelijk zoet, zwak bitter, ik heb al diverse gagelbieren mogen proeven, en het is niet echt mijn ding, matige body, niet slecht maar gewoon niet mijn ding dat gagel. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kâld Kletske Galjes on 18 May 2018 at 15:27 - Score: 7
