Description
Stichting De Veluwse Heidebrouwerij werd in augustus 2005 opgericht. Op 30 maart 2012 werd de brouwerij officieel geopend op een nieuwe locatie, namelijk in de voormalige manschappenkeuken van de Prins Mauritskazerne.

In 2016 werd de naam van de brouwerij gewijzigd van de Veluwse Heidebrouwerij naar De Heidebrouwerij en werd eigendom van Siphelo BV.. Vanaf dat moment werd er geen bier meer gebrouwen in de brouwerij.

Sinds 2018 wordt het pand op het terrein van de voormalige Mauritskazerne alleen gebruikt voor opslag en demonstraties bierbrouwen. Diverse bronnen melden dat bier voor De Heidebrouwerij alleen nog in België bij Leroy wordt gebrouwen.

Thanks @MaartenRF10 voor de fles! helder donker gouden met schuimig witte kraag aroma: floraal, honingzoet, citrus, graan, gras, pilsmout smaken: honing, hopbitter, citrus. medium body, glad in de mond, vooral honingzoetje en wat floraals, beperkt complex, maar lang niet slecht

Reddish brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and chewing gum. Light sour flavour, candy and sweets. Quite high carbonation, finish caramel and butterscotch.
Feels somewhat infected.

Bottle courtesy of Benzai, thank you sir! Clear amber color, huge beige head with great retention. Aroma of toasted caramel. Taste is butterscotch and caramel candy.

75cl bottle sample @ RBBWG 2013, courtesy of Benzai. Cuivrée, col beige. Arôme est assez faiblard, léger bouquet malté et caramel avec possible note fruitée rouge. Palais est ici aussi faible, malté caramel très moyen avec en retrait une pointe d’épice. Le tout garde un profil rappelant moyennement ce style allemand, pointe de douceur sucrée restant dans un caramélisé faible. Le houblon est discret et ajoute peu en terme d’amertume.

Thanks to the gentleman who shared this one – I believe it was Benzai / Rene but I am not too certain. 75 cl. bottle sampled. Pours ruby red. Smell sweet with caramel, toffee, herbs and leaves. Tastes of sweet herbs, leaves, caramel, toffee, light maple, creamy, touch barley. Very lightly sticky. Not bad, I enjoyed it.

Fles via trade met Maarten, bedankt ! donker amber met schuimige kraag die vrij snel afvlakt. aroma: gist, mout, suiker, licht floraal, taart, honing lichte body, dun van textuur, lage co2, honing, zoet. erg vlak allemaal, niet erg bijzonder

Little cloudy brown beer, no noticeable head. Aroma: caramel, rotten fruits, some banana, definitely something off with this one. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sour, infected, rotten fruits, citric. Aftertaste: sour, bad, rotten stuff, vinegar. Man, this is bad...

Sampled from bottle @ RBBWG 2013. Reddish color, small off-white head that diminishes really quickly. Smell sweetness, raisin and wet leaves. Taste malts, sweetness, raisins and wet leaves. Low to medium body and carbonation.

Bottle shared from Deanso. Pours clear golden amber with an off white head. Aroma of yeast, dough, a little citrus, caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.

75cl bottle as a birthday present. Very thin white head. Slightly hazy orange pour. Nice enough brew.
