Light amber colour with an off white head. Caramel malt and hoppy aroma. Unusual hoppy flavour for a german beer. Nice hoppy and a fine caramel malt background.

Nice bite to this beer. Sharp, bitterness with elements of coffee and chocolate. Color is deep brown, no head to speak of, but taste is right on the money. A nice sipper for a fall day.

Clear blond beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive leaving a nice lacing. Aroma: stable (it's becoming a bit boring, here in Germany), sweet light malts, hay, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body, surprisingly. Taste: very malty, bit sweet, grains, little herbal, bitter hops, bit of citrus. Aftertaste: grains, little metallic, dry clean bitter ending.

9/VIII/2012 - on tap as both Stiefel Weize and Bruch Weize @ Zum Stiefel (Saarbrücken) - BB: n/a - (2012-863)
Note: as I was ordering one beer after the other, the waiter informed me that both beers were the same, they just sold 'em under different names in the brewpub.
Cloudy yellowish to pale beige beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: banana, bready, dough and sweet malts, hint of citrus, little grassy, some chloride. MF: soft to no carbon, light to medium body. Taste: little sourish, some banana, wheat, sweet touch, malty, some spices, little peppery, vanilla. Aftertaste: ripe banana, bit spicy, sour wheaty touch, some bitter hops.
