Bottle, 4.8%. Sourish aroma. Nice clear dark copper colour. Small white head. The flavour is slightly smoky with a bit of sourness to it. Not my idea of a Landbier.

Bottle (Duesseldorf Gathering) : Pale golden coloured, small foamy layer; grainy, a bit skunky and yeasty nose; robust bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; moderate bitter, tart finish. Smells bad, but the rest is already drinkable.........

(33cl bottle, traded with Saarlander) Cloudy orange colour with a mid-sized, slowly lacing foamy white head. Moderately sweet, chewy malt aroma, yeasty and citrus-fruity with delicate herbal hops in the background. Light-sweet flavour, yeasty malty taste with notes of citrus; light to medium bodied, lively carbonated mouthfeel; dry and yeasty bitter finish with light herbal and fruity notes. Refreshing well-quaffable brew.

(33cl bottle, with thanks to Saarlander !) Clear, amber colour with a fluffy, off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet toast-malty aroma with caramel, notes of marzipan and shy herbal hops. Sweet flavour, aromatic taste of dark malt with caramel, toffee and light herbal spicy notes; unfortunately quite slim bodied, crispy mouthfeel; sweet-bitter malty finish.A bit slim but still quaffable.

(33cl bottle, big thanks to Aaron !) Clear, dark amber colour with a fluffy and slowly lacing off-white foamy head. Toast-malty aroma with caramel and a whiff of herbal hops. Moderately, but a bit sugary sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a pleasant carbonation. Toasted malty taste, light notes of caramel and light spicy notes; moderately sweet malty finish with well-balanced alcoholic notes.
