Description

The first reports about brewing beer in Vysoký Chlumec date back to 1466. From 1474 onwards the brewery was owned by the Roudnice branch of the traditional aristocratic Lobkowicz dynasty. The first preserved letter to the brewery in Vysoký Chlumec dates back to 1611. During 1939-1945 and 1948-1992 the Lobkowicz family was deprived of the right to manage the brewery. In 1992 they got the brewery back through restitution. Immediately, the Lobkowicz family invested in the modernisation and innovation of brewing in Vysoký Chlumec which was completed in 2006. Own brewing stopped in 2021.

# 2193; 8/2020. Weird aroma full of vegetables, celery first. Hazy gold body, white head. Celery, malty, herbal and something... Oh my God! Why!? 0,5 l, bottle, supermarket (Norma), Rožmitál pod Třemšínem (Bohemia, CZ).

Ein tschechisches Weizenbier ist nach wie vor eine Seltenheit und meist auch nicht sonderlich wohlschmeckend. So auch dieses. Man kann es schon trinken -mit recht netten Fruchtnoten geht es gut die Kehle runter -aber so wirklich erfrischend will es dann doch sein.

# 1090; 6/2018. Na český ležák neobvykle poměrně hodně karamelový. Příjemně kořenitý. Pivo, které neurazí a ani moc nenadchne.
