33cl bottle as a gift. Pours clear dark amber to copper coloured with a rather modest head. Malty and caramelly with hints of dried fruits and vanilla. Sweet and caramelly and not really what you would expect from a porter. Too sweet and too caramelly for my taste, but still drinkable.

33cl bottle as a gift. Pours clear amber with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and malty with hints of dried fruits. Fairly sweet, but still balanced with caramel dominating the flavour. Not exactly my favourite beer style, but still this is drinkable.

Bottle from the Polish delicatessen, opposite The Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Hazed amber with a small head. Aroma is lager malts with a light fruitiness. It’s not too stated in flavour, with some lager character here too along with a sweetness.
