Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a small foamy tan head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was cocoa, vanilla and faint roasty malt. The flavor was cinnamon, cocoa and vanilla. Medium length finish. Medium bodied and smooth.

Refrigerated 8 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass. Clear hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is Pilsner malt, medium body, lower carbonation, and litttle lacing. Taste of s Pilsner malt and soap.

Look, if you like IPA, especially imperial, ignore my numbers, the lower the score the more on style it is. So, please forgive me if I insult any IPA lovers out there. This brew pours an almost muddy pale cloudy brew. Citrus with mild BO greats the nose. On the palate, this is a nasty nellie mouth coating brew that is thicker and viscous. The taste is so strong that I didn't even notice any CO2 in there. Overwhelming. Yes, IPA, yes, double; its a kick ass fricken rude ass brew that rototills your taste buds, and ruins them for the day, whew. Big, large and in charge, glad I saved this for last because I can't taste anything except hop bitterness and this will last for a while, I need a pale lager for a chaser, heheheh. Its a barracuda of a brew. I think I hear the theme from jaws playing in the back of my head. Gasp, this beer is on par with the best of them, think North Peak Vicious American Wheat IPA, Terrapin Mosaic Red Rye India Pale Ale or even Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA.

Actually listed as RBP v1.1 on the menu. Big & black with a creamy alabaster head. Looks yummy. Creamy and flat on the palate as well, probably because its on ntro. Becasue of the nitro it almost comes across like a nitro stout from the old country. Charcoal and the rye is well hidden. Too often today contemporary rye brews try to be bitter like IPA but this does not. Very nice, smooth. Near 8%? No way, its too nice to you. Taste is more like 4%, be careful!

Tap source. Cloudy pale brew. Slight aroma of BO, but in a good way, like that of your favorite sex partner, heheheh. Hops are present, right after the fruity introduction. Bitterness int he hops build thru the middle. Begins to border on IPA territory. Yes, even a little sharp on the bitterness as well towards the end. Strong ending. Possibly should be styled as an IPA? If you like IPA, ignore my numbers, you got to try this APA in IPA clothing.

First let me say I do not usually like highly hopped beers but something is different here. Somebody at abj has figured out how to get the great flowery aspects of the hop into the beer without the big bitter lingering bite that I am so familiar with. Starts off with a slight haze on pale eye. Nose is friendly mild flowery hop perfume with some fresh cut hay. From the start, it is never bitter, such a welcome change to the ubiquitous nasty nellie hop arena. Fun, nice, displays a unique mode of acceptability not normally found in ale beer hops. Never rude and never in yer face. Perhaps its the low alky content? If this is a highly hopped brew, its one of my favorites. Nice job ABJ! Good example of what a blonde should be like.

Taste initially has lots of pecan and its not overdone or forward, balanced. So many pecan and nut brews are unrelenting with the nut thing, this is not. Its smooth easy and fun. Easy to get along with. Some mild co2 and a good overall impression. Well made nut brew. .

Tap at source. To call this a Belgian ale may be misleading, its a strong Belgian ale, hehehheh. Surprisingly clear pale. Slight friendly perfumy volatile nose. Thicker viscous pour and enjoyable mouth coating experience on the palate. Possesses a warming sensation on every part of the body it touches, especially down the throat. Let me tell you, I normally do not like oaked beers, especially high alky ones but this is really good for what it is. You better be careful because you'd never know this is 15% unless somebody told you; its rather friendly, just right for sipping, like a well aged barleywine. Never in yer face. Finished with just a tad of vanilla. Smooth balanced easy finish like you are drinking fine liquor.

Tap source. Smells like your typical old country saison. Pale, slight haze. Nice clean thin white head. Does not show its alky content on the first taste, rather laid back, actually more civilized than many high alky saisons. Quite muted for 7%! Not much of the saison flavors carry over into the taste, its there, but it comes across quite enjoyable in its own right without the difficulties of domestic saisons. Perhaps just a tad of astringent bitter on the finish but its never in yer face. Not bad!
