Sample at the Denver Winter Brew Fest. Pours a hazy, light yellow, with a small, white head. Orange juice aroma, with some pine sap, chalk, and peaches. Sweet and citrusy, with a hard bitterness. Medium body, with a pulpy, citrusy mouthfeel. This is a pretty solid NEIPA, but a bit harsh.

Pint at the brewery - more of a scotch ale than a Scottish ale - very sweet, notes of smoke and caramelized sugars, sometimes bordering on burnt sugars, sadly - cherry, dough - a light acidity that I’m not sure is intentional - dark bread and a light spiciness - eh.

Pint at the brewery - dark gold with a sudsy head - aroma of floral American hops and tropical fruit - flavor is similar - medium sweet tropical fruit, light pepper, and moderate finishing bitterness - a bit watery, and lacking the subtle complexity and depth you’d expect from the style - I’m sad I got a whole pint.
