Very light colored beer. Looks like a pale lager. Smells like it has lots of pepper in it. First taste confirms the nose, lots of peppery coffee notes in this one. As session continues, there is more and more coffee and peppery spice. Funny, a new generation of coffee beers are appearing on the horizon that are not dark in color.

Yes, its maroon in color. Mild fresh beery smell. Pleasant taste up front. Color defies the mild roasty, almost mild stoutlike flavors. Fun. Slight fruit in there as well. Good stuff, enjoyable and tasty. Almost flat. I liked this, better than expected.

Look, I don’t care for spiced Christmas brews but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Big head. Orangish and clear. Not much aroma but some of the spices do show thru to the olfactory. Not enough spice to rise into your face, well balanced and easy to take. Friendly and like-able. Very little co2. Good job on this one, probably one of the best Christmas beers I’ve tasted in recent memory.

Hazy. I must say, this is probably more like a hefe than a wit. If it was a hefe, this is certainly more on style than any other local wheat beer I’ve had in a while. Very inviting hefe aroma. Civilized, well behaved. Perfect amount of banana and bubble gum. Smooth easy fun. Loveable!

Not red, just pale. Big head. Clean fresh mildly perfumed smell, its attractive to the olfactory. Taste is full of ginger spice, more than I have ever had before in a beer. Big surprise on the palate fer sure. Yes, so much ginger it leaves your palate in shock. Ginger ginger ginger. Warming sensation all around my pie hole and down the gullet. Quite an experience. Tasty! Really hides the 7% alky well!

Cask. One beautiful pour, rolling black drink ends with a flat choco moose head. Great from the start. One of the best looking pours in a long time. Mild friendly roasty aroma. No co2 on the palate of course. Taste is simple plain good stout, tasty. Yummy too. Hides alky well. Civilized. A fine old country example, on style.

Tap. Look, if you like IPA you better check this out. Nice clean smell, lacking any ipa identifying aromas. A darker orange. Big strong fresh IPA kick on the fist taste. Not in the imperial range, but more in the fresh kicking ipa range. Hides alky well, you’d never know it was a tenner. Rude, terribly on ipa style. Fer sure. Not as mouth coating as most ipa.
