Bottle: Pale yellow coloured, very thin white foam, quickly vanishing; grainy, a bit malty nose; moderate bitter flavour, but watery; short bitter aftertaste; not really bad, but too less aromatic !

(bottle) Pale golden colour with a medium frothy white head. Weak corny and malty aroma. Light bodied. Malty taste with a low hopped finish. This one is probably the same brew as Herzog Wilhelm Pils brewed by/for the mysterious Help GmbH in Bochum (brewed by Iserlohner brewery ?).

(bottle) Pale golden colour with a quickly diminishing medium frothy white head. Malty aroma with a bit of canned corn and a tinge of hops. Light bitter flavour and light body. Malty taste and a short dry & slightly bitter finish. Very average, almost boring Pilsener, but not absolutely bad according to its low price.

(bottle) Clear and dark amber colour with a small foamy white head. Aroma of toasted malts, white pepper, hops and yeast. Light sweet flavour, light to medium bodied. Slightly taste of roasted malts with a trace of fruitiness and a dry, soft bitter and short finish. Not bad for such a cheap beer.

(bottle) Deep brown colour with a medium foamy slightly off-white head. Dense floral hoppy nose with strong touch of marzipan and toffee. Medium sweet(malty) taste, light to medium bodied. Initially sweetmalty taste with hints of caramel and marzipan and an also soft sweet butterscotch finish, quite thin and with a profane bitterness in the background. Contrary to the name "Winter Hopfen" it seems to contain not much hops.

(bottle) Clear yellow colour with medium foamy white head. A further average Pilsner from the Sauerland. Very profane and boring. Decent grassy hoppy aroma, medium dry flavour, malty taste with short, but crispy medium bitter finish.

(bottle, as Sauerländer Winter) Dark brown colour with small diminishing off-white head. Very sweet caramellish nose with roasted malts. Medium bodied, also sweetish malty character with low bitterness. Not recommendable.

Tap - typical malt aroma. Clear yellow color. Medium malt flavor with a nice hop finish. Pretty good but I’d had several beers before it. Average German Pilsner

Very bright yellow colour, deep aroma that unfortunately reminds of cat's piss, and typically light, crisp North German palate.
