Description
In 1894 the Obergärige Brauerei Heinrich Reissdorf was founded by Heinrich Reissdorf in the Cologne Severins neighbourhood. In 1923 the brewery started to brew bottom-fermented beers and it became the Privat-Brauerie Heinrich Reissdorf. Through the years it stayed in the family.

In 1996, the Privat-Brauerie Heinrich Reissdorf acquired today's company premises in the industrial area of Cologne-Rodenkirchen. With the new production facility, a brewery was created, which is equipped with the latest brewery technology and meets the highest quality standards.

Crystal clear straw gold, smallish head of foam but dang, it won’t go away entirely.

Corny, hoppy in a Noble Pils kind of way. Smells like what a desert would smell like if it was a beer.

Lovely grainy corn applied to this Koelsch. The hops have a nice dry and bitter bite to it. Funny that I look at corn as a negative in the macro lagers but here, it works fine.

Light bodied, medium carbonation.

A classic for a reason, me thinks.

Classic Kölsch with regular, quickly decreasing head and pale golden blonde colour. Subtle aroma, light malt sweetness, apple, grass, floral hops. Light but clean and crisp malty taste, spicy notes (mint) with a dry, medium bitter finish; thin mouthfeel.

"Reissdorf Kölsch", Flasche von einem Kiosk in Siegburg, 15.8.2014. - Strohgelb, klar.

33cl, 22.06.14 17:03
The beer starts bready-grainy. The typical sweetness for an alcohol-free beer is present all the time. Slightly bitter in the end which covers the sweetness a bit. Smooth. The aftertaste is medium, sweetish-bitter and bready with an abrupt ending.
Ok for an alcohol-free brew, but nothing great. --> 7/12/8/8
