Bottle. Slightly cloudy, light golden colour. Big fluffy white head. Slightly fruity aroma. Light, fruity, bitter, maizy flavour. The bitterness is nice enough, but the beer overall is not very interesting.

Bottle. Aroma like chocolate milk. Almost black colour, fluffy stable head. Thin and watery flavour with some mild chocolate notes. Nice enough.

Nearly black beer, but with amber hints; dirty beige head, collapsing. Creamy, coffeeish nose - a bit as the drabs of cold coffee, really. Also a Coca-Cola aroma, sweetish. Dry stout-like flavours: tobacco ash, roasted grains. Much less bready than German examples, and a lot less sweet than the nose suggested. Bit of Valerian finish. Light to medium bodied, certain slickness, quite dry. Good Schwarz, though more stoutlike, IMO, be it bottom fermented. Again, my bottle claims 4.2 % ABV only

Golden, clear beer with tall white head, reasonably stable. Faint hoppy nose, some pilsener malt; grassy hops, Czech or Southern German-like. Quite bitter Pilsener, in taste more Northern German than Czech, quite dry. Grainy taste retronasal, bit toasted. Faint burning sensation, rather light bodied, quite dry. That’s a good Pilsener, beats several German or Czech hands down. My bottle claims only 4.2% ABV

The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The color is pitch black with a small off-white head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and roasted malt. Unfortunately the body is a little light.

A golden beer with a disappearing head. The aroma is malty and quite light. The flavor is a little sour but also malty and with notes of straw and a hint of wheat.

Straw. Toasty hop nose with peaches and pears. Palate pretty much the same stuff. Still, it's great to get my hands on NZ micro stuff.

Bottled. Golden coloured with brief head. Big perfumy aroma. Odd, complex, dry, ashy maltiness. Fruity, bitter finish.

Bottled. Amber colour. Perfumy peach aroma. Sweet nose, short, faint maltiness followed by a dry, salty finish. Confusing...

Bottled. Near black with huge, creamy head. Roasty and rather sweet with creamy mouthfeel. Bitter finish with notes of licorice. Well made, but not overly complex.
