Bottled (4.1%). Dark ruby red colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is dark fruit, plum and mildly roasted malts. Flavour is caramel, roasted malts and slight hayish notes. Pleasantly smooth brew. Easy to drink and wellbalanced.

Bottled (BB 01/2007). Golden color, no head. Sweet malty, a bit cardboardish aroma. Papery malty, thin, quite cheap pils. Dry aftertaste. Just drinkable.

Bottled, alc. 4.1% (BB 01/2007). Golden color, no head. Grassy hoppy aroma, sugary. A bit dry, woody hoppy, quite light. Light but otherwise tolerable and typical Bohemian pils.

Bottled(500ml). –this was the first slovak beer on my trip to Bratislava, and in my opinion this is the best slovak pils, very pleasant and refreshing beer, malty aroma with fresh hop notes, medium bitterness that turn into mild bitter finish

You know, this was one of the first beers I added to the database, and I didn’t think I’d be tasting it soon. And what do you know; Ozujsko gave me a 0.5l bottle of this along with two more I haven’t tried, so a huge thanks to him. The bottle claims 4.3%. To the beer. It poured a small thick, but unstable head, lazy carbonation, golden colour. Faint malty aroma, my mother claimed was nice, but I wasn’t too sure about that. The taste was... empty (my mother agreed on that one ;)). Pronounced lemony sourness, slight bite, very faint malty background and no real aftertaste. A great session beer, but not a great beer. Well, I got it for free, so I won’t complain much more. I guess I’d like the 12% a lot better.

Bottled(500ml). -just another ordinary 10%pils, hoppy and malty aroma, fizzy and a bit too sweet, mild bitter finish, highly drinkable, but Smadny 12% is much better
