Can pour into nonic pint glass from the brewery. Appearance is deeply hazy blood red/cranberry juice with decent sparkle at the edges of the glass, ephemeral finger-width fizzy red-tinged light brown head and no lacing. Aroma is toasted brown bread with hint of chocolate, manila paper, light fruit, whiff of oregano. Taste is tart/sour fruit, ginger, mild peach, background bready malt. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied, thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, well crafted and, while not a sour guy, a lot of interesting features like the dark malty richness wrinkle here. However, the ginger and sour mix reminds me of ginger ale after I was sick as a kid so doesn't evoke fond memories and wasn't totally enjoyable.
