33cl can (4,5% ABV.) from Carrefour Express in Firenze. Pours clear pale golden with a fast dissipating, small, white head. Mild grainy aroma with some fruity notes, hints of herbs and grass and a little bit of cooked vegetables too. Moderate sweet with mild flavours, but a certain bitterness. Not the worst pale lager, but far from the best. Not much to write home about the aroma and the flavour, but the bitterness is fairly pleasant. --- Beer merged from original tick of Axt Bier on 15 Jun 2015 at 22:26 - Score: 4

40cl on tap in Firenze. Clear golden with a modest, white head. Grainy aroma with mild fruity notes, hints of cooked vegetables and honey. Medium sweet, quite watery and mild grainy flavours without much bitterness. Drinkable, but not desirable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Premium on 10 Jun 2015 at 20:35 - Score: 4

Más de lo mismo. Otra lager italiana. Bebible. Alta de gas. No destaca por nada. Ligeramente malteada, ligeramente amarga. Refresca.

Found in a supermarket in Trieste. Pours a bit darker golden color, topped with a decent white foamy head. Malty aroma, sweet and some resin presence. A hint of alcohol, but hardly noticeable. Taste is sweet and malty, mild bitterness in the finish. Alcohol well hidden. Actually not that bad, to be honest.

Found in a supermarket in Trieste. Pours a clear golden color, topped with a medium frothy white head. Sweet grainy aroma, some presence of bubblegum later on. Taste is sweet and a bit watery, grassy body with very minimal bitterness. Boring.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear deep amber color with medium soapy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, cereals and grass. Taste starts with sweet caramel, follows grassy with moderate bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Not bad at all...

Thanks Ogi! The commercial description makes it sound like a copypaste of Forte but with some roasted malts instead of wheat found in Forte. Hm. Pours a respectable bronze/amber body with a slightly off white head. Creamy caramel/malt aroma. Very light coffee/caramel taste, creamy again, just a light bitternessm again, OK for what it is. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Lager Doppio Malto on 30 Aug 2011 at 04:25 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Castello Bionda Doppio Malto. Castello seems to change the names all the time. Great. Anyway, courtesy of heavy (thanks!). Poured a golden body with a small white head. Very light stale herbal nose, bit oily. Slightly soapy malty grainy taste, somehow... nice. Slightly dusty. No alcohol presence. Clean and drinkable despite light flaws - more than I expected!

Thanks Ogi! Poured a golden body with a medium sized thick white head, lasting. Sweetish grainy malty aroma, light fruitiness, no alcohol so far. Taste... hm, remarkably lean, empty, vague herbal/lemony notes are a plus, some maltiness, honey, vaguely dusty. Yeah, quite thing for the strength. Quite OK for what it is! One would expect a clusterfuck from a contract brewer like this, but they actually made a mild effort here!
