Very interesting. I found it at an organic store in Pireus (Greece). It said beer Saveur Chocolat (beer with chocolate flavor) and decided to try it. I wouldn’t describe it as a schwarzbier but better as a chocolate stout. The aroma is chocolate period. Very intense and nice aroma. The flavor is sweet but not oversweet, chocolate taste (rather the mexican type of chocolate and not that sweet). Pretty well balanced much better than I expected. Good beer for various occasions. Would buy again.

(Bottle 25 cl) Pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Very malty nose. Medium body with loads of sweetish malt and a dry, lightly sulphurous finish. A bit rustic, but definitely drinkable. Actually quite German in style - Sorry Jacob....110406

Bottle. Piney ashtray aroma. Sweetish flavour with some hints of oxidization. Tastes old somehow.

A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of milkchocolate - and so is the flavor.

(Bottle 33 cl) "The freshest beer in the world" - no less, that’s what the plastic coating of this bottle claims. Pale golden with a beautiful, creamy head. Fresh indeed and not as characterless as for instance Bud as this has quite a good hop bite. But it is indeed a pale lager. 090103

(Bottle 33 cl) Golden and very unclear from the distinct yeast (sur lie). Rather small head though. Very full-bodied with a warming alcohol. Slightly wheaty but without the fruity esters. Quite different and interesting - sort of a strong, French Zwickl. 060103

(Bottle 33 cl) Fully golden with a fine, tall head. Very malty body with lots of hop aroma - more aroma than bitterness. Quite harmonious strong beer, which never appears alcoholic. 141202

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark brown, full-bodied and very potent. Very aromatic nose with lots of roasted malts and some caramel. Fine balance between sweetness and hops. Neat beer. Scotch Ale - not a Pale Lager. 011202

(Bottle 75 cl) This is simply called "Schutzenberger Pils". Pale golden with a decent head and a fine, hoppy nose. Almost no flavours - very watery indeed. Very plain Euro-lager. 070602

Blond color. Simple aroma, quite sweet and cornish. The mouthfeel is too much dry… The finish unpleasant and short.
