Draft. A- Jalapeno. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Jalapeno. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- The Lincoln/Omaha area of Nebraska seems to be infatuated with vanilla cream ales at their breweries. The rest of rural and western Nebraska seems to have a thing for jalapeno beers. Everyone is doing them. Some okay and some bad. Shockingly, this is one of the best pepper brews I’ve had. You literally get the jalapeno flavor without any of the spice. Usually I can’t finish a sampler of a spiced beer but I could drink a pint of this one. It almost had a flavor like a jalapeno popper with a mild hint of breadiness and cream cheese. While I wouldn’t want this all the time it actually drinks pretty nice.

Draft. A- Cocoa, weak. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, off white head. T- Leather, tobacco, roasty, smoke, char, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- Tons of leather and roasted malt throughout. I would call this a "BBQ" beer, because it smells and tastes about like a charcoal grill in use would let off. Hard to tell if it is more brown ale or porter. Really is a hybrid of both.

Draft. A- Laffy taffy, banana bread. A- Pale yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Laffy taffy, banana bread. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, refreshing finish. O- Who would have thought I’d be drinking a banana beer in North Platte, NE and have it actually turn out to be really good. Possibly the best beer at Pals and a top notch banana brew. Tastes like Banana Laffy Taffy. Not too sweet and a nice strong banana flavor. Actually really good. I hope it becomes a regular beer.

Draft. A- Weak, mild citrus. A- Pale yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Weak, subtle oranges, grains. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- For as good as the apricot and banana fruit beers were in this series this was a big let down. Very minimal aroma and flavor. In fact, if I hadn’t known it was brewed with oranges, I might not have noticed them. It’s like the Jerry Light with a really small hint of citrus.

Draft. A- Apricots, gummies. A- Yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Apricot puree. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, fruity finish. O- One of the best beers at Pals and one of the better Apricot brews I’ve had. Not artificial tasting and not too sweet. Loads of juicy ripe apricot in here. This is pretty refreshing and one I hope becomes a regular staple and not just a one and done series brew. Tasty for sure.

Draft. A- Weak, sugary, slightly floral, sweet. A- Copper color, clear liquid, white head. T- Belgian yeast, mild bitterness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Not sure what to think here. A huge strong Belgian influence no doubt but really not a ton of flavor on the palate. A bit sweet and a passive bitterness but otherwise not much happening.

Draft. A- Grainy, bland. A- Pale yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Grains, corn, straw. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- Yea this is definitely brewed for the railroad crowd based in North Platte. Very unmemorable and the type of thing this community is going to want to drink. Brewed for the masses. On a plus side, it wasn’t skunky of metallic tasting. With a ton of lime I could probably drink it, but why when there are plenty of other actual decent options on the menu. More like a pale lager.
