Bottle, 500 ml, courtesy of and shared with JFK10000. Pours bit cloudy golden with short lasting white head. Malty, grainy, sweet, some honey, average carbonation. Light bodied. Pretty much boring.

Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, foamy, white head; some lacing. Aroma of banana, bread & butter, honey, flowers & hand soap even, clove, nutmeg, wheat. It tastes medium fruity sweet, hints of banana & bread, buttery too, and light spicy bitter, clove-like, with a wheaty sour back. Dryish, spicy & peppery hoppy finish, a bit yeasty & bready. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Nice one!

"Maxlrainer Schloss Gold", Flasche (50 cl) von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Goldgelb, klar; sahniger Schaum. - In der Nase mild brotiges, tiefes helles Malz mit Anklängen an Vanille und Honig und feine Kräuter, die eine milde aber aromatische Hopfung zeigen. - Antrunk weich und satt hellmalzig mit zarter Vanille. Ganz milde aber elegante Hopfung mit Kräutertee, zarte Anklänge an Seifenlauge (die aber nicht störend wirken). Milder rezent, vollmundig, weich, leicht mineralisch. Im Nachtrunk etwas strohig-dumpf, sogar muffig: hier verrät sich der Hopfenextrakt. - Schönes, klassisches Export mit Tiefe und Charakter, enorm süffig. Die Biersorte "Export" schneidet auf RAB ja ziemlich schlecht ab (schon weil sie unsinnigerweise mit dem Hellen zusammengeworfen wird), aber dies ist einer ihrer besten Vertreter. Könnte richtig klasse schmecken, wenn auf Hopfenextrakt verzichtet würde ...

“Maxlrainer Aiblinger Schwarzbier“, Flasche (50 cl) von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienbraun, sahniger Schaum. - In der Nase mildes aber gediegenes dunkles Malz, Schokolade und zarter hopfenwürziger Hallertauer Hopfen. - Antrunk weich und satt dunkelmalzig mit vornehmer Bitterschokolade und leichter Kaffeebittere. Mild rezent, vollmundig, sahnig. Im Abgang trockener Kakao und nur angedeutete zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe. Etwas leerer Nachtrunk. - Hochindividuelles Dunkles mit weichem Körper und allerfeinsten (doch zurückhaltenden) Aromen. Das Dreimaischverfahren schmeckt man!

Tank filled 10 days ago, tapped 3 days ago, at Bufet in Munich. Rather clear golden color with white head. Aroma is fresh bready, grainy, a touch sulphuric. Taste is bready, grassy, a touch sulphuric, very well-balanced, malty sweetness, but not too much. Soft mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Could use a bit more hops and sharpness, but o well. In this condition, it's still good, fresh, and tasty.

13.06.2018 -- 0.5l bottle from marktkauf, bb 16.06.2018. pours a clear golden with a frothy head. aroma of sweet malts, spices, booze. flavour of sweet malts, bread, and booze. it does have a touch of a strong lager, but is still drinkable. 03.02.2019 -- (bb 25.09.2019) phenolic touch in the aroma turns me down.

“Maxlrainer Jubilator“, Flasche (50 cl) von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase fülliges, gediegenes dunkles Malz mit feinen Röstnoten, Kakao, mild zitrusfruchtigem Einschlag und milde holzige Herbe. - Antrunk massiv dunkelmalzig mit schwerer Malztiefe, Bitterschokolade, Kakao, aufgelockert durch verhalten zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe. Mild rezent, weich und sehr schwer, fast ölig. Im Abgang komplexe, sehr aromatische Hopfenherbe mit Noten von Mokka, trockenem Kakao, roter Frucht und Vanille. - Famoser, enorm malzschwerer und runder doch komplexer, tiefgründiger Doppelbock. Ganz große Klasse! Besser geht es kaum noch.
