Dark honey and raisin nose. Clear mahogany, thick yellow head, good lacing. Medium body. Raisin and licorice flavor, well attenuated. Finishes with subtle vanilla and hazelnut notes. A very well made, non-cloying doppelbock.

Maxl rainer jubilator. Unfiltered version thanks to Alex at 4:20. Lots of sweet malt on the nose dark brown clear colour. Does bite into the sweetness on the finish. Rich brown sugar. So damn drinkable. Gorgeous. Really full and good good plums

On tap at 4:20 Rome. Crystal clear gold thick white head. Perfect pils for me. The right level if herby saaz hop and perfectly balanced clean pale malts and hops. Loved it so much I had to keep pouring it from the tap. In fact had it again following day still so drinkable. Slight creaminess. Lovely. maxl rainer pils crystal clear pale gold drinkable as hell. Herbyness from saaz on aroma clean as hel. Smooth creamyness just so amazing

10/11/10/9/12/9

On tap at Summer Beer Festival Rome. Hazy gold with lasting white head. Touch of lager puke. Quite light and fresh in the mouth. Quite tasty. I like it. Settles down into a decent lager. Very fresh. Pale gold slight haze. Touch of lemon on the aroma. Fresh and tasty. Fonefan guided me through this one. Respect.

Rice and corn aroma with a lemony tinge. Clear yellow, thick egg shell colored head. Medium body and very flavorful. The flavor is rice, lots of it, again with a lemony edge. I remember this being better, but never logged a rating. This was sampled at a warmer temperature than is my normal custom. I Should definitely try this again.

30/04/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap).

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts fruity like apricot, yeasty, a bit wheaty. Finish mild but not washy, fruity-sourish, very drinkable. Nice!
