(bottle, traded with joss) Clear, dark brown colour with lacing beige foam of medium size. Slightly sweet toast-malty aroma with milk-chocolate and distinctive herbal hoppy notes. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Toast-malty taste, slightly bready with chocolate; finishes dark-malty, dry and bitter with roasted notes and herbal hops. Pretty drinkable stuff.

A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malty with a quite strong straw presence, while the flavor is plainly sweet malty.

A yellow beer with a white head. Both the aroma and the flavor are sweet malty - a very clean beer, but not that exciting.

A hazy orange beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with a hint of alcohol, while the flavor besides being sweet malty has notes of caramel.

On tap at the Ibis-City-Hotel Munich: Very pale golden coloured, lasting white head; grains and little hoppiness in the nose; very mild bitter flavour; very shy bitter-malty finish. Not unpleasant, but pretty bland.........

Tap at Bufet from gravity tank. Pale golden, white lace. Light spring onion grassy hops, medium light grainy base, a hint fruit, grassy, light herbal finish. 6 2 5 2 8 Sampled while it still was called Maxlrainer Lagerbier, they claim to have tweaked the recipe since then. Hayish malt and bitterhop aroma. Pale straw, not much carbonation, ok head. Thin hayish tastenotes, insufficient hops. Sub average Helles.
