Keg @ JW Sweetmans, Dublin [200913]
Dark caramel brown, thin off white head, some lacing
Aroma of sweet caramel malts, soft raisin, some bubble gum
Taste of sweet caramel malts, sweet raisin, belgian aromatic yeast, getting that bubble gum again, bit spicy, certainly has dubbel notes, strong yeast esters - maybe a tad too much, quite banana-ry...quite a lot going on here
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, bit sticky, sweet sweet caramel malty bubble gum palate. Finish as main flavour, bit too sweet
Overall - Interesting beer, bit too sweet and bananary estery for me...1/2 pt is just the right amount
