26/10/2022. Can bought at Pyrmont Cellars (Porters Liquor) Pyrmont. Enjoyed at Novotel Darling Harbour on our last night in Sydney for a while. Pours black with a small short lasting beige head, somewhat lacklustre. Aroma of sweet Black Forest gateaux, milk chocolate, malt, caramel, vanilla, glacier cherry. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, oily, soft carbonation. Bit underwhelming.

(Can) Pours very dark brown with small off-white head. Pleasant aroma of toasted grain with hints of chocolate and cherry. Light body with bright carbonation. Pleasant taste. There’s roast grain and chocolate and cherry notes. Overall there is gentle tartness and next to no bitterness. The flavours are nicely balanced but it seems a long way from a stout. Very drinkable.

(Can) Pours clear golden with small white head. Odd, but not unpleasant aroma - there is a fruitiness, but stewed not fresh with hints of herbs. Nice mouthfeel with medium body and fine soft carbonation. Pleasant taste with some gentle fruity tang quickly shifting to biscuit malt and herb notes developing with a gentle bitter finish. Very drinkable.
