12oz can at La Taberna Lupulo pours a fairly dark black with a ring of beige head. Nose has some smoke and toast and burnt cocoa, nuts, yeast. Flavor is smokier, malt, molasses, a bit sweet and sugary bow, which is too bad because there is a lot of restraint until then, chocolate syrup, some ancho. It falls apart some in the mouth, watery finish. 7 3 6 2 12

Pint at Dylan's, pours a watery brown with no head. Nose has malt, cracker, cola. Flavor cola, soggy bread, malt, crackers. Crisp and dry. Good enough. 7 2 7 3 12
