16 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. After one visit to Stemma on a much less often than wanted trip up to Bellingham, I'm excited to see the cans make their way to my walking distance local. Really fun brew here too. I'm always a little skeptical about fruited IPA's, but this one really worked nicely. Glowing sunny delight haze, soft foam head. Guava and tropical fruit puree aroma upon opening the can. Really refreshing nose. No mistaking the fruit here. It's a guava bomb, and I'm glad it is. It's a delicious flavor, and works well with the hop profile. Low bitter, mostly orange juicy finish. Again, very refreshing. Excellent post workout fruit here.

On tap at Stemma, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very laid back, with bready malt and restrained hops. Flavour is has a touch more oomph, with gentle hop resins and some caramel malt. Lacking depth or cohesion. Weak amber.

On tap at Stemma, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out cereal malt and straw. Flavour is along the same lines, with straw, sweet cereal malt, and biscuity notes. Clean and drinkable, but totally uninteresting.

On tap at Stemma, pours a hazy bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle chalky yeast, light dank hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is bright, with pithy stone fruits, piney hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Not much in the way of chaotic yeast. Nicely crafted.

On tap at Stemma, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out earthy notes, muffled caramel and some Christmas spices. Flavour is sweet and spicy, with lots of caramel malt, gentle holiday spices, and some banana esters. Kind of confusing what this is supposed to be. Pleasant estery, malty, spicy ale of some sort.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. A bright golden pour, minimal haze, plenty of mousse foam head. Quite a bitter IPA here. Lots of grassy, piney notes, with a small dose of melon. Sturdy grain backbone, and balanced pretty well. Long lingering grassy hop bitterness. Pretty good IPA.
