Dark brown, with a fairly thick head. The aroma comes across thin, maybe a bit of roast, but lacking in other key stylistic elements. On the palate, it's better. The body is good, and there's a healthy dose of residual sugar. There's a light roastiness, not really espresso level, but it's a good coffee taste that balances well with the base beer.

On tap at Icons Sports Bar and Grill YVR. Hazy gold with a one finger white cap that lingers. Nose is citrus and tropical fruit with some melon and stone fruit. Light melon sweetness with a medium - pineapple bitterness. Mouth is medium- and creamy with slightly soft carbonation.

Pours a rasp-accented hue, with some haze. On the palate, the peach shows first, then the berry. Light diacetyl kicks in…berry beers are not immune from this. The base sour is lightly acidic.

Poured from 473mL can (stickered 07-11-24). Dark brown with small beige head. Aroma has lots of suntan lotion coconut. Taste is a really bland base chocolate malt with artificial coconut flavouring overtop. Disappointing, verging on drain pour. (note: ended up drain pouring it...)

Hazy amber, small white head. Light fruity nose. Fruity fore, neutral mid, med strength bitterness. Needs better balance.

Amber colour, with a thin head. Sort of a nothing aroma. Vague amber malts, low bitterness. This aims for the Dos Equis / Victoria pocket of dark lager, and it's not that far off. Out of the Mexican vacation context, however, you realize those kinds of beers aren't actually pleasurable.

Kinda hazy. Thin head. A touch of butter on the nose. Decent bitterness, fruity hops. It's not bad but it needs to be clean and with brighter hop expression.

Served with an orange slice, for some reason. I guess to prevent scurvy. Pale greyish colour. Soft body, nice coriander note on the aroma. Lightly wheaty, with mild citrus. Low bitterness but I don't mind a sweeter wit.

Quite pale, with a thin head. Clean, slightly grainy aroma. Similar palate. Low bitterness, off-dry. Not much hop. Good for what it is.

Dullish pale, not much head. Buttery, some pale malt. Not much hop, but yeah this isn't clean and it very much should be.
