On tap at Craft Conundrum, pours a clear caramel / chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel, toffee and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with brown sugar, toffee and caramel. Much more of an English barley wine, with the low amount of hops. Very nice.

Bottle at Craig's. Cheers! It pours jet black with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, maple syrup, toffee, treacle, vanilla and wood. The taste is slick, sticky, oily, wood, sweet maple syrup, toffee, boozy, plum, peach, wood, and leather with a sweet, fruity finish. Medium to full body and fine carbonation. Heavy and sweet, but fun stuff overall.

12oz bottle. Deep brown-black body. Foamy beige head. Big chocolate tones, really does have a chocolate pudding thing going on. Syrupy, a little bit hot, but overall drinkable enough for the 12%. Just doesn't have the malt depth you'd want from a big beer, more malt beverage like, artificial. Fun enough to try, but I wouldn't want to revisit it. Finishing the glass is almost a chore.
