330ml bottle online from Mikkeller Beer Club. Pours jet black with a dissipating beige head. Aroma: roast malts, dark malts, cinnamon. Taste: heavy sweet, maple syrup, spices, burnt caramel, brown sugar. Medium to heavy body, light carb, sweet finish. Too much sweetness for this soldier

355ml bottle. Murky, purple colour with average, frothy, rapidly diminishing, pink to red head. Tart-ish, juicy, fruity aroma, notes of dark berries, blackcurrant, bramble. Taste is tart, juicy fruity with subtle sweetness, minimally earthy notes of bramble and blackcurrant, a lactic and fruit acidic touch. Quite nice, a bit monotonous though.

pours like bloodred/beetrootjuice with a pink head, which doesn't last that long. Aroma is very sweet, lots of fruit juices, just like a smoothie, blackberries, cherries, 'casis'. Taste is light, some salt, weak sour, do i get a beer association of this 'fruit juice' ? well it's on the edge, it's just like a huge fruit smoothie with lots of blackberries, beetroot, lacto, dry finish, weak body.well at least it's above 20 degrees today.

Bottle @Ulfborg Tasting. Black, small beige head. Roasted, nutty, syrupy aroma. Thick, sweet vanilla, nuts and coffee flavour. Cinnamon too, but pretty nicely controlled.

Big cyclamen head, but gone fast over deep purple-red beer. Deep fruity nose, absolutely natural smelling; blackberries, cherries, fruits of the forest, sourish aroma. True flavour of blackberries; not much else, but the fruitflavour is so velvety and fantastic that I couldn't care less. Lactic acid in evidence. Fruit-filled, not very carbonated, slick. Wow! Tap at WOB chasing new brewery ticks. Dark brown beer with little to no head looks like flat root beer. Nose is dark fruit and milk chocolate. Tastes of meted Hershey bar, slight chalky, figs, molasses, perhaps faint almond nugget. Sweet but not cloying. Not really my thing.

Keg at Whole Foods Wauwatosa. Looks like orange juice. Literally. Exactly like orange juice. Even the thin bit of whitishness on top. Aroma of generic tropical fruit with a bit of resin and celery peeking through. Taste is tropical fruit, berries, earth, resin, pale malt. Thin. Okay version of trend du jour. Next trend 1000 IBU pale lagers? Overall, okay. But false advertising. Doesn't taste exactly like orange juice.

Keg at Whole Foods Wauwatosa. Murky tomato juice, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of buttery pale malt, tart berries. Taste is juicy raspberry, pale bready malt. Full bodied, juicy. A little too much body for a Berliner. Kinda weird but not bad.
