440ml can. Minimally milky, dark yellow-ish, golden colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Smoky, malty aroma, notes of smoked ham, some juniper berry, a touch of birch wood, wood ashes. Taste is smoky malty as well as pale malty with subtle residual sweetness, hints of birch wood, smoked ham, a touch of laurel, juniper berry, mild hop bitterness. Slightly oily, watery texture, minimally dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Relatively simple and a bit monotonous, but fairly beefy and with well balanced smokiness - pretty decent.

(Draught at Muted Horn, Berlin, 30 July 2022) Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with creamy tan head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with toast, grain and apricot marmalade. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of toast, rye, apricots and a generous earthy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Really tasty and well balanced. Like a hopped up red ale. Very nice.

Can split with the Wingman at La Buena Cerveza, Madrid, 29/10/22. Black pour with a big old khaki head. Nose is dark malts, cocoa powder, toffee, charr, dried red berries, pine nip. Taste comprises earthy roast, dark malts, charr, light spice, burnt brown sugar, tropical fruit esters, pine needle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Solid CDA.

hazy golden to orange colour, huge off-white head, which collapses however quite quickly; aroma of tangerine, watery peach, some pineapple, some orange peel oily, celery and caramel notes; well balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma and definite spicy celery-horseradish-like aftertaste; great one
