Description
The brewery was founded in 1827 under the name Stralsundische Vereinsbrauerei. In 1899 a new multi-storey brewery building was erected at the current site of the brewery. After the reunification in 1991 the brewery was bought by the Nordmann Unternehmensgruppe. In 2010, we began forging a new path. Today we do what we do best: We brew a great variety of top-quality beers, drawing on Hanseatic brewing traditions. To reflect this change, the brewery was renamed Störtebeker Braumanufaktur ('craft brewery') in 2011.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wheat and burnt caramel. The flavor is sweet malty and wheaty, with some burnt caramel notes, leading to a dry wheaty finish. Is the burnt notes from the rye.
