Thursday 16th October 2025. Cobweb tasting session with four friends, almost every beer being very old or just 'out of date' (mostly very old). My place being the venue. We had water between each beer, or a lager style mouth cleanser, this 473ml can was one of those lagers. Brought back from Canada by my friend Graham, I shared it with the guys during the session (glad I did, because I would have struggled to drink the whole can on my own). Very pale golden body, white head. Bland and boring with very little actually going on. Great to have a beer from such a difficult region, but sad it was so poor.

decent beer. Tastes like it looks, a bit foggy. Not all that creamy for a nitro, and quite mild on the coffee. On the light end for a porter.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Slightly hazy copper with minimal off white head. Esters, touch of candied sugar, definitely imitates a Dubbel, but fairly average. Alcohol quite hidden.

Clearish copper with a small white head. Malty and toffee notes. Bitter caramel and a long malty finish. Treacle notes.

330mL bottle, pours a clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma is quite estery, like a Belgian dubbel, with bubblegum, earthy notes, and some red fruits. Flavour is quite fruity and estery, with dry, earthy red fruits, lots of bubblegum and esters, and a hint of alcohol. Fruity and estery. Doesn't strike me as a biere de garde, but it is kind of a bullshit style. Still, it's too estery for my taste. It's alright.
