The bitterness here is a bit off to me. It seems like the dominant bittering flavour is an undesirable one, and it overpowers the beer. March 2017 (2.9) Much improved, still not world-class. But has a much cleaner ferment now.

The malt profile is solid for the style. As is the hop level and aroma, however there is a clear astringency in the background, which i find in nearly all their beers.

One of these beers that I’d say is good in the scope of all beers but is not great for a stout, just average maybe at best. Lacking a full flavour for a stout.
